LANDLORD / TENANT (COMMERCIAL & RESIDENTIAL)
When the owner (landlord / lessor) of a piece of real property – commercial, residential, vacant land – agrees to rent their property to another party (tenant / lessee) in exchange for money a lease agreement is formed. In Florida, a lease can be verbal, but it is typically in written format to protect the interests of both parties. The term can be for as little as a day to several years with renewal options pre-negotiated and included in the lease. As with any agreement or binding contract disputes can arise and when they do, you should have an experienced attorney on your side. If you are a landlord or a tenant involved in a dispute please call Brian M. Rokaw, P.A. to schedule a no obligation consultation – (305) 722-5888.
